Una de las ventajas de Wikispaces, respecto de otros servicios para publicación de wikis, es su enorme facilidad para incrustar objetos externos (alojados en internet, no en nuestro disco duro) . Basta con hacer click sobre este icono
para acceder a un muy completo menú de opciones:
Como es fácil comprobar, desde este menú podemos incrustar en el wiki vídeos, audios, hojas de cálculo, documentos, presentaciones de diapositivas... Y si se tratara de otro tipo de objeto diferente, disponemos de la última opción Otro HTML. El procedimiento para insertar estos elementos externos en una página de Wikispaces es muy sencillo:
- Selecciono en el menú el tipo de objeto (audio, vídeo...) que deseo incorporar a la página wiki.
- Copio el código que me facilita el servicio de alojamiento que corresponda: Youtube, Slideshare, Goear, Ivoox...
- Inserto el código copiado en el espacio en blanco que me facilita esta función del editor.
- El objeto queda incrustado en mi página del wiki.
